Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.


First of all, let me thank you for inviting me to this important seminar.


September 9, 2022 marks the 74th anniversary of the DPR Korea.


President KIM IL SUNG founded the DPR Korea on September 9, 1948. The founding of the Republic is a historical event since it opened the prospect of building a strong socialist state in Korea. Indeed, the DPR Korea today has become a political-ideological power. 


The government took the Juche Idea created by President KIM IL SUNG for its ideological guide and thoroughly applied them in the field of state activities.


President KIM IL SUNG penetrated the whole society through a policy of virtues, of generosity of the whole society, under the motto "EVERYTHING SERVES THE PEOPLE".


Separately, he always given priority to military while respecting this principle in all his ideological, political, economic, cultural and diplomatic activities. This policy ensured guarantee of national sovereignty and dignity, as well as the building of a great socialist power in this country. Thanks to his efforts, Korea rose to the rank of political-ideological power, earning the admiration of the international community, despite the fact that it was by no means an important country in terms of territory and population at that time.


The DPR Korea has always put importance to increasing the national self-defense capacity and becoming a military power. The government of the Republic rigorously followed this principle and worked intensively to create an elite, modern army in order to arm all the people throughout the country, transforming its territory into an impregnable fortress and built a powerful industry of national defense. 


Only after 2 years, the DPR Korea retaliated against the United States that had provoked the Korean War (1950-1953) claiming to be the most powerful in the world and inflicted humiliating defeat on them for the first time in their history. 


Here are the results of the policy based on Juche Idea. In the post-war period, the Republic constantly acted on this idea. As a consequence, the Korean People's Army has become an elite force mastering the latest military scientific and technical achievements, the art of combat and being equipped with means of attack and defense with men experienced in military training, with ultra-modern war materials. The whole population took the gun in one hand and the hammer or sickle in the other, being ready to strike a mighty blow in concert, with weapons of deadly effect on any aggressor. The country, sprinkled with powerful military units, turned into an invincible fortress.


The DPR Korea achieved surprising changes and in the economy, culture and in all areas of social life. It completed within 4-5 years the post-war reconstruction and the socialist transformation of the production relations to establish the socialist system in all urban and rural areas and realized in 14 years the heavy responsibility of industrialization to make a backward country, agrarian, a socialist industrial one. 


In the late 1990s the DPR Korea faced extreme economic difficulties caused by imperialist’s maneuvers to isolate country. Nevertheless, under the wise leadership of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL, the Korean people overcame all the challenges facing the country, and turned the country into a powerful state, independent in politics, 


self-supporting in the economy and self- reliant in national defense, a power admired by the world.


Today Supreme Leader KIM JONG UN, an outstanding political leader in modern ages, is enjoying the attention of the whole world. His lead in the creation of a peaceful environment on Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia is striking the world with admiration. The DPR Korea will surely shape a more splendid future under his leadership.


Romania-Korea friendship association express its conviction that the heroic Korean people would gain greater successes in socialist construction, rallied close around comrade       KIM JONG UN with one mind and will, and extend invariable support and solidarity with the struggle of the Party and the people of the DPR Korea.

For Koreans, September 74 years ago was undoubtedly one of the most joyful and epochal months in their 5000 years-long history. On the 2nd of September 1948, on the basis of the results of the north-south general election, the First Session of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was held in Pyongyang. It adopted the first Constitution of the DPRK. There were many socialist countries in the world, but most of them disappeared in the late 1980s due to the leading parties' degeneration to revisionism and betrayal of the ideals of socialism. Even the once powerful Soviet Union (including Soviet Russia 1917-1922), the first socialist state, crumbled after 74 years of existence due to its destruction by the "Perestroika" renegades. Turmoil and rebellion, organised by the anti-socialist hostile forces, supported by the imperialists and reactionaries, led to the collapse of socialism in Europe in the years 1989-1991.
